Just in case you may have missed it last week, I had a very quick anonymous survey to find out how many are still following the challenge. I wanted to give one more week to poll the readers to make sure this is the most effective use of time to provide technology tools to meet your needs. Just let me know if you are still reading and keeping up with the challenge below. This week's post follows below the poll. Our district subscribes to World Book online which provides students with a safe and easy way to conduct research on topics with a kid friendly interface. The program works on both computers and iPads and allows for students to search at different levels. There is a Kids search as well as a Student search. To help students at different reading levels, the different searches are a great way to enable all students to look up and research information at their reading level. This is also a much safer way to search than using Google which can sometimes yield some less than desirable results. This service will work only at school at this website: http://www.worldbookonline.com/. Outside of an EVSC building, this link will ask you login. The ICATS have some additional information about using World Book at this site: http://www.evscicats.com/resources/worldbook/index.html. Navigate over to World Book today and consider some ways your students can use this tremendous resource in your classroom.
