Have you ever wanted to create websites with students in your class? Have you been disappointed that it's just too difficult to create websites? Ever wanted to manage student websites? If you answered 'Yes' to any of the questions above, I want to share a resource I have been using for a couple of years now. Weebly Education is a free website creation tool where you as a teacher can create your own website easily and you can also manage up to 40 student accounts. With those 40 student accounts, you can see what your students are doing on their websites and manage their logins and passwords. The site you are viewing now was created with Weebly. The interface is very simple and yet allows for professional quality website creation. The video below gives you a brief overview of how great this tool can be. Weebly would be a great tool for students to create a website about something they are studying in class. It would also be a great tool for students to blog daily or weekly about a project or assignment they are doing in class. You can determine whether a student's website is public or private. Did I mention that this is all free? Take a moment to look at www.education.weebly.com today and see if this might a resource you would want to use in your classroom.
